This tiny charcoal mcm sofa perfectly balances your goth side with your whimsical side. It's a great addition to your haunted dollhouse, or on your dark romance bookshelf reminding you to get cozy with a good book.

There's no plastic. The sofa is handmade from all-natural materials. The frame is made of chipboard, a paper-based cardboard used in bookbinding. The upholstery fabric and the batting are 100% cotton. The legs are made of basswood ply stained with a water-based stain. 

Every care was taken to make this sofa an accurate scale model of the full-sized 1950s sofa it was based on. The cushions are all removable, so you can lose your tiny remote, and they're all padded. 

The dimensions are 7-1/2" long x 3" tall x 2-3/4" deep (19cm x 7.6cm x 7cm). 

At 1:12 scale, the sofa will fit with standard dollhouse furniture and 5-6" dolls and action figures.

FAQ

What tools do I need to finish the kits?

All of the kits need glue to complete--any kind that adheres to wood will work. (I use Aleene's Tacky Glue.) You may also need a craft knife, sandpaper or an emery board, and clamps or clips.

Is paint provided to make the kit look like the sample?

No, the kits do not include paint or stain. Any type of paint, stain, or marker that adheres to wood will work. For the samples, I used craft acrylic paints, artist acrylic paints, water-based washes, oil-based wood stain, and micron markers.

Will I be able to customize this?

Yes! All of the kits and components are made of basswood ply (except the boot tray, which is chipboard). While it requires some elbow grease, the wood can be be cut with multiple passes of a craft knife.
