Now you can build the mid-century sofa of your dreams! Provided you dream in miniature. This no-sew kit comes with all the components to build this sleek, 1:12 scale couch. Like all my kits, this piece is based on a full-sized original, and is exactly to scale. Care was taken to make sure this kit will look good from every angle. 

The kit is rated advanced, but people with prior crafting experience should find it very straightforward. It is intended for adults. 

To make this kit, you will need glue, a paper towel, scissors, and an iron. 

The finished sofa measures 7-3/8" long x 2-1/2" deep x 2-3/4" tall (2.5cm x 6.4cm x 7cm).

FAQ

What tools do I need to finish the kits?

All of the kits need glue to complete--any kind that adheres to wood will work. (I use Aleene's Tacky Glue.) You may also need a craft knife, sandpaper or an emery board, and clamps or clips.

Is paint provided to make the kit look like the sample?

No, the kits do not include paint or stain. Any type of paint, stain, or marker that adheres to wood will work. For the samples, I used craft acrylic paints, artist acrylic paints, water-based washes, oil-based wood stain, and micron markers.

Will I be able to customize this?

Yes! All of the kits and components are made of basswood ply (except the boot tray, which is chipboard). While it requires some elbow grease, the wood can be be cut with multiple passes of a craft knife.
